The Woodstock ANAVETS Unit #95 are hosting a variety of remembrance services in recognition of Veterans Week leading up to Remembrance Day on November 11th.
The first service is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, November 3rd at Riverside Court Retirement Home at 1 pm.
The next service will be held at the Carleton Manor on Friday, November 4th at 2 pm. The ANAVETS church parade will depart from the Woodstock Salvation Army Church on Sunday, November 6th at 11 am, and a service in Canterbury will be held at 2 pm on Sunday.
Beginning on Monday, November 7th, several school-based remembrance ceremonies will be taking place. A candlelight tribute will begin on Wednesday, November 9th at 11:30 am. On Remembrance Day, the ANAVETS will parade from the J.D. Winslow Armoury on Chapel Street to the cenotaph, while a service is happening at the Woodstock Baptist Church at the same time.
