We Will Remember Them

Today is Remembrance Day. Despite the wet weather, The Shiretown Blogger encourages the community to attend a cenotaph ceremony in honor of those who fought and died for you, your country and your freedoms. If you are unable to, then take a moment of silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 2011.

It is actually 11/11/11/11, which is ironic. It may be the first and last time it works that way. We'll have to wait and see.

Today marks the 93rd anniversary of the end of the First World War. There are no First World War veterans remaining, and veterans from the Second World War are dwindling in numbers annually. Remember them,  and remember the brave troops that continue to fight for you.
