After the cancellation of a game on Wednesday, February 1st against the Campbellton Tigers, the Woodstock Slammers have had lots of time to prepare for a two-game road trip this weekend.

On Saturday, February 4th, the Slammers will face the Miramichi Timberwolves at a competition scheduled for 8 pm. The Slammers have not faced the Timberwolves since November 25th, when the Slammers dropped the north shore side 5-2.

Slammers netminder Matt Murphy is seen here in the last game Woodstock played against the Miramichi Timberwolves on November 25th. The Slammers dropped Miramichi 5-2. Murphy has been between the posts for nearly 1,958 minutes in 33 games this season.

On Sunday, February 5th, the Slammers will travel across the Confederation Bridge to Summerside to face the Summerside Western Capitals. Woodstock has not faced the Western Capitals since December 16th, when a brawl ensued with 5:30 remaining in the third period. The incident led to 170 total penalty minutes issued and several suspensions for both teams.

The Slammers' next home game is scheduled for Friday, February 10th at 7:30 pm at the Carleton Civic Centre. They will face the Truro Bearcats.

**Update: The home game against the Campbellton Tigers scheduled for Wednesday, February 1st which was cancelled due to inclement weather has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 22nd at the Carleton Civic Centre. Puck drop is at 7:30 pm.
