The ground has surprisingly been covered with a good dose of the white stuff recently. This is a sign that despite unusual winter weather so far, we are getting winter after all. The Saint John River is frozen over and all of the signs are up on area snowmobile trails, though a trail in Upper Woodstock showed little snowmobile action for the early part of Saturday. A few snowmobiles were seen by The Shiretown Blogger going up and down the trail into Saturday afternoon.
Icicles also hang from roofs of houses. (Believe it or not, this is actually a sign that your home is losing heat). However, they are a pleasure to photograph.

This Upper Woodstock snowmobile trail was showing little signs of action for the early part of Saturday. |
Note the spelling error. I believe it is actually spelled "Kojax" on the building. |
The sign points the way to all of the amenities |
This is where the snowmobile trail in Upper Woodstock proceeds over the Saint John River |
