After being dropped 2-1 by the Commandos on the road on Wednesday, January 18th, the Woodstock Slammers downed Dieppe 5-1 on home ice on Friday, January 20th in MHL hockey action.
Bradley Greene led the Slammers with two goals, while Ryan Purvis and Ben Miller each had a goal and an assist.

Greene scored the only goal in the first period on a power play at 13:12.
In the second period, Ben Miller netted a shorthanded goal at 3:19. Slammers recent acquisition Ryan Purvis scored at 9:11, improving Woodstock's lead to 3-0.
Dieppe got on the scoreboard with the help of Danny Chiasson, who scored at 9:45.
The Slammers' three-goal lead was restored with a goal scored by Zach Shannon at 14:04.
Bradley Greene scored the only third period goal, which also was the winning goal for the Slammers, at 19:02.
Jonathan Waye blocked 49 of 54 shots faced while between the pipes. Matt Murphy refused 33 out of 34.
A total of 56 penalty minutes were issued in Friday night's contest.
The Slammers will face the Yarmouth Junior A Mariners in their next home game, scheduled for Friday, January 27th at the Carleton Civic Centre. Puck drop will take place at 7:30 pm.
