The Woodstock Slammers were doubled by the Weeks Crushers 4-2 on Friday, January 13th.
Friday night's loss was the first loss on home ice for the Slammers in the 2011-2012 campaign.
The scoring was opened by Crushers winger Danny Wicks at 2:01. Wicks' goal was the only goal scored in the first period.
The Crushers added two more goals during period two. The goals were netted by Garrett Holmes and Cody Squires.
The Crushers had a 3-0 advantage upon beginning the third period, but the Slammers got on the scoreboard with a power play goal netted by Ben Miller only forty four seconds into the period.
Bradley Greene scored in favor of the Slammers once again at 18:47.
Woodstock's comeback attempt was to no avail as Cody Squires scored his second goal with only fifteen seconds remaining in the contest. This increased the deficit to two goals.
The Slammers will face the Dieppe Commandos on Wednesday, January 18th on the road. They will then face Dieppe on home ice on Friday, January 20th at 7:30 pm at the Carleton Civic Centre.
