Community invited to take part in Falls Brook Fair and Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase on September 10th and 11th

Note: The following invitation was sent to us by Julia Girard, Community Engagement and Special Events Coordinator at Falls Brook Centre

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to you on behalf of Falls Brook Centre. We are a sustainable community demonstration and training centre located in Knowlesville in Carleton County. Our work, both locally and abroad, is focused around four main pillars: organic agriculture, forest stewardship, community building and renewable energies.

I am pleased to be able to inform you that Falls Brook Centre will once again be hosting its annual Fall Fair on September 10th and 11th, 2011. The Falls Brook Fall Fair is a celebration of rural living and quickly becomes a meeting place for local people to join old friends, share delicious and healthy food and enjoy contagious rhythms. The fair is unique in that it brings together the diversity of New Brunswick’s population, and provides an opportunity for rural Carleton County to access a cultural and artistic event of quality without traveling far from home.

This year, Falls Brook Centre would like to host a Youth Entrepreneurship showcase. We hope to welcome youth from all over the province  who are interested in sharing about their business, organization or social involvement. We look forward to learning about community projects, volunteer or job initiatives and any innovative work that the young leaders of New Brunswick are involved in today. As an organisation, you will have a booth and, if you choose, you may give a 15 minute presentation on your project or experience. You may sell products if you wish. We ask that 10% of your total sales be contributed in order to help cover the cost of the Fall Fair and ensure its success in years to come.

Falls Brook Centre is currently seeking young people interested in demonstrating their skills and encouraging other youth to become socially and environementally involved for this year’s Fall Fair. If you are interested, would like to recommend youth entrepreneur, or would like more information, please contact me at julia@fallsbrookcentre.ca or 506-375-4310.

For more information on Falls Brook Centre`s activities, visit our website (www.fallsbrookcentre.ca) or call us at 506-375-4310.

We look forward to hearing back from you! Thank you in advance for your consideration in contributing to Falls Brook Centre’s 2011 Fall Fair.
