Day three of Dooryard festival

The third day of the 3rd Annual Dooryard Arts Festival in Woodstock brought sunnier weather than the first day (The Shiretown Blogger was unable to cover any workshops or events on the second day due to a prior commitment). Live art by Dana O'Regan, originally of Debec but now living in Fredericton, and Joss Richer was taking place in the town square. Dana was painting a picture on an old door using acrylic paint, and Joss was building up layers of paper and incorporating old shingles and other recycled materials into his work.
Creating art on a door takes focus and patience, as demonstrated here by Joss Richer of Fredericton during the live art in the town square.
I then walked over to the Picaroons Mainstage tent to listen to a workshop hosted by RiVA Project Coordinator Emily Clark. This workshop taught participants how to play the ukulele.

Emily Clark tunes a ukulele prior to beginning the workshop.
Approximately 14 people came out for the ukulele workshop.
Former Woodstock High School teacher Richard Blaquiere was one of the participants in the workshop.
Woodstock Mayor Art Slipp takes a moment to chat with the workshop participants before the workshop started.
