Dooryard Arts Festival begins in two days!


WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Paint Your Own Pottery @ Studio Sarah (All Ages)

Drop in to the Studio Sarah anytime during the Festival and choose from a variety of fun and functional pieces that you can paint yourself! Pieces can be painted with acrylics and spray-sealed for same-day take home or can be glazed and fired for pick up the following week! All materials supplied.

When: Wednesday August 10th - Saturday August 13th, Noon-9pm

Printmaking with Michael McEwing (All Ages, although the recommended ages are from 10 to 99!)

Learn how to make multi-colour relief prints using a hard foam and water soluble inks. All materials are safe, non-toxic and supplied. Michael McEwing is an artist in Woodstock who employs a variety of printmaking techniques in his mixed media work. He also teaches Fine Arts courses at Woodstock High School. Teen Blushing Workshop: Everyday Makeup Demonstration and Tutorial (Ages 13-19)

Teens will gather to participate in a fun workshop with the Made You Blush Staff who will
ask for a volunteer or two to show them how to attain an awesome everyday look for themselves. There will be a draw for makeup and those attending will receive a 'no tax' purchase incentive at Made You Blush for attending.

Ukulele For Everyone! Workshops

Join Emily Clark on the bank of the Meduxnekeag and learn to play a new instrument - the Happy little Ukulele! Learn to tune, hold and play the 4 most important chords necessary to have fun and
play music that you love for your own pleasure or to join a party! All you need is a willingness to learn. We'll provide the instruments and 'know-how'!

Figure Drawing (All Ages)

Learn the basics of figure drawing with Brandi McGuire and the assistance of her live models! All materials supplied.

Learn to Knit with the Woodstock Fibre Artists! (All Ages)

Come and join a happy group of experienced knitting instructors and fibre artists who will help you start a knitting project and learn how you can join the Tuesday Night Knitters at the L.P. Fisher Library. All materials supplied.

T-Shirt Painting-back by popular demand! (All Ages)

Deck yourself out at the t-shirt painting table at Dooryard's Saturday Queen St Market! Bring an old t-shirt to revitalize or purchase a festival shirt and add a little of your own flare! Adult and youth festival shirts will be available for purchase at festival headquarters (114 Queen St) All materials supplied.

Too Many Cooks- Collaborative Community Painting! (All Ages)

A Dooryard favourite three years running, come lend your mark to the large, blank canvases at the Picaroons main stage and enjoy a fantastic line up of free music at the same time! All materials supplied.

When: Saturday, August 13th, 11am-4pm
Where: Picaroons Main Stage (Farm Market parking lot on King St)
